Dragonfly TX is seeking a highly motivated and talented protein biochemist to join our Biologics team in Copenhagen as protein purification scientist.

The successful candidate will be a key player in purification of high quality antibody reagents, state-of-the-art protein characterization and advancement of downstream processes, to support progression of Dragonfly’s projects and platform innovation. The successful candidate will work together with Dragonfly’s dedicated global Biologics and Biology teams, to discover and develop therapies that modulate immune responses in cancers and autoimmune diseases. Core Responsibilities

  • Purification of mono- and multi-specific antibody reagents and therapeutic candidates.
  • Purification of protein reagents to support new antibody discovery campaigns.
  • Anchor reagent/antibody quality assessment through comprehensive characterization by SDS-PAGE, CE, SEC-HPLC, cIEF, DSF etc.
  • Drive high-throughput purification process innovation to enable early functional screening in antibody discovery campaigns.
  • Contribute to antibody candidate selection through biophysical qualification of antibody candidates, using predictive biophysical developability assays.
  • Support bioinformatics-based mining of in-house and external structure-function/ biophysical data for early in-silico qualification and ranking of antibody candidates.
  • Active participation in projects, including coordination of protein reagent generation/screening and candidate selection activities.
  • Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks and records to support technology transfer to internal or external groups as well as to support regulatory filings.

Qualifications

  • PhD. with a quality mindset and industrial experience in protein purification, characterization and biophysical qualification.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with downstream processing of mono- and bispecific antibodies, Fab fragments, scFv/dAb domains and various antibody-fusion formats.
  • Proven experience with purification of proteins using affinity, IEX, HIC and other chromatography methods.
  • Hands-on experience with ÄKTA Chromatography systems, including the ability to develop custom methods and process troubleshooting.
  • Experience with basic and advanced protein characterization techniques, including methods for antibody developability assessment.
  • Team player with an innovative attitude and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Excellent record keeping abilities, to document analytical data generated in support of regulatory requirements, adherence to GDP, experience with ELN.
